- AI provider - about $5-15 a month Paid to OpenAI or Anthropic on your own key. Measured at roughly $0.002 a message: a ten-person team sending 2,000 messages a month costs about $4.
- WhatsApp message fees Meta charges for messages sent outside the 24-hour service window - the reminders that go to someone who has gone quiet. Replies inside the window are free.
- Your domain name Usually a few dollars a year, if you do not have one already.
- Support after the first year Optional. Renew yearly if you want continued updates - never monthly.

Every feature in the plan works on day one, but every business runs a little differently. Settings you can change yourself are free. Anything that needs new code is quoted first, as a fixed price - never by the hour.

Eight suites, not one
Every release runs 716 checks: unit tests, an end-to-end audit, a real Chrome browser driving every page, a live model answering real questions, and a round trip through a real Google spreadsheet.
Run fifteen times, not once
A suite that passes once has proved less than it looks. Each live suite is run fifteen times in a row, and three real defects were found that way - a missing deadline, a dropped citation, and a list of names the model returned as one blob. None of them failed on the first pass.
It refuses rather than guesses

About Bosun
What is Bosun?
Bosun is a WhatsApp assistant for a business's own team. Staff message it the way they already message each other - "today I'm ordering the rotors and calling Mrs Diaz" - and it turns that into a tracked job list, chases what is late, and answers questions from the business's own written procedures. It is sold white-label: you run it in your brand, on your own server, for a one-time price.
Is this a chatbot for my customers?
No. Bosun faces inwards, at your own staff. It is not a marketing tool, a broadcast tool or a customer support inbox. Nobody outside your roster can talk to it - an unknown number is refused before anything is written down.
Do my staff have to install anything?
No. They use WhatsApp, which they already have and already open. That is the point: team software usually fails because nobody opens it, and this removes that step entirely.
Do they have to learn commands?
No. They write the way they would to a colleague. "The Ford is stuck, we're waiting on the parts department" is understood as a blocked job with the reason recorded. The owner has a few shortcuts if they want them, but nobody has to memorise anything.
Price and ownership
How much does Bosun cost?
A one-time price of $1,999 - the same in every country - which includes setup in your own accounts, your branding, your WhatsApp connected, and a year of support and updates. There is no monthly fee to us. You pay your hosting provider (about $12-25 a month), your AI provider (about $5-15 a month) and WhatsApp's own message fees directly, in your own name.
Why is the AI cost separate?
Because it is your key and your account, so you see exactly what it costs and can change provider whenever you like. Measured on the running product it is about $0.002 a message: a ten-person team sending 2,000 messages a month is roughly $4. Bundling it would only mean marking it up.
What happens after the first year?
Nothing stops. The software keeps running because it is on your server, in your account. Renewing support is optional and yearly - it buys fixes, security and platform updates, and help. It is never monthly.
Can I resell it to my own clients?
Not on the standard licence, which covers one business. If reselling is what you want to do, that is a partner arrangement - say so on the contact form and we will talk about it properly rather than pretending the standard price covers it.
Setup and WhatsApp
How long does setup take?
About a week from the day you send us your brand, your team and your procedures. The one part nobody controls is WhatsApp Business verification, which Meta takes one to two weeks over. We start that first, and everything else happens while it runs.
Do I need my own WhatsApp Business number?
Yes, and it should be a number your team does not already use for personal chat. We wire it to the assistant and submit the two message templates Meta requires for reminders sent outside the 24-hour window.
What do you need from me?
Your business name and colour, your team's names and WhatsApp numbers, your departments, and whatever you already have written down as procedure. If nothing is written down, that is worth knowing too - the assistant will show you every question it could not answer.
Which AI provider does it use?
Either OpenAI or Anthropic, on your own key, switchable in the admin. Both are tested before each release against the same checks. The cheaper tier of either is enough for this work.
Using it day to day
Will it message my staff at night?
No. You set your working days and hours, and no reminder is ever sent outside them.
Will it keep nagging people?
No, and that is deliberate. It reminds a person a set number of times - you choose how many - then stops and tells the owner instead. A tool that nags forever gets muted, and a muted tool is worse than none.
Can staff give each other work?
No. Only the owner or a manager can put a job on someone else's list, and that is enforced in the code rather than asked for in a prompt. A daily plan only ever creates work for the person who sent it.
What if it does not know the answer?
It says so, and records the question for the owner. It will not invent a spending limit or a policy. The Procedures screen shows every question your written documents failed to answer, which is usually a more useful list than it sounds.
